The Avertok Archaeology Project Video Series was created by students from Hopedale, Nunatsiavut through Laura Kelvin’s (Memorial University) postdoctoral project. During the summers of 2017 and 2018 Denver Edmunds, Rosie Edmunds, Nicholas Flowers, Halle Lucy, John Piercy, and Ida Semigak developed research questions about the history and heritage of Hopedale and interviewed Hopedale community members and archaeologists to produce these videos. The goal for these videos is to have youth connect with their past, while disseminating research from the Avertok Archaeology Project to their community and beyond.
